i know i haven't posted much lately -- i've taken pics but haven't made time to upload and such. hopefully sometime later this week once things slow down (ha! -- they never really slow do they?) between work, baby, resume drops, interviews, internships and more baby we are feeling pretty buried. however, last weekend we did get away for some family time to go blackberry and peach picking with the alexandria 2nd ward.
here' s a few pics, thanks to sweet katie blakesley who volunteered to capture the memories (i, of course, remembered to bring the camera and then proceeded to leave it in the car).
the farm also had some animals for the kiddos to pet and feed. check out this goat. the little guy has some guts:
i hope to add a few more once i get them off my own camera (i pulled it out at the end)...

triplets
all three boys wearing the same tie at church. from left to right: christian, liam salter and liam wittwer (notice: liam s. sweetly try to help christian sit up -- he's also the only one willing to pose for the camera. and then there's christian's huge yawn -- guess he was a little worn out after behaving so well during his blessing).
blessing day
we decided to take advantage of the influx of relatives over fourth of july weekend and scheduled christian's baby blessing in church for july 5. christian was awful cute in his tie and white shirt, although i do wish we'd snapped pics before church because by the time it was all over the little guy was exhausted and not in the mood for picture-taking, as you will probably be able to tell in the photos below:

fourth of july weekend
we had a ton of family in town the week of the fourth. my sister, natalie, shane's sister, janalyn and lots of erickson cousins as well. it made for quite the exciting week. i wish i had pulled the camera out more. but at least we captured a few shots.
unfortunately, the battery died halfway through our big day in d.c. -- we toured around the national mall and camped out next to the washington memorial for the fireworks that night. it was quite the sight, and christian amazed us by enjoying the fireworks even more than we did. he watched them very intently and didn't get fussy till they were over.

three months old
oh sweet, christian. where to begin?
your hands are still your best friends. you like to have them near your face...and often in your mouth...
you have a wide, gummy grin, and we see it often
your eyelashes are so long they look fake. we both try and take credit for them.
you have the sweetest little coo, but you also like to squeal. and you get closer to a full-on giggle every time we play.
you've got your daddy's ears. there's no doubt about that.
your hair is slow in coming. you can blame your mom for that. she didn't have much at your age either. it's light brown right now, which is a big surprise for us. maybe your coloring will be dark after all.
your eyes are wide and expressive. the color changes daily -- blue, grey, golden brown -- we are anxious to see the final product. from day one you've been extremely alert and observant.
your lips are perfectly formed. any girl would be jealous. you love to twist them up when you sleep.
we can't believe how fast you learn. you can roll from your tummy to your back, reach out and grab things (including your mom's hair)
we sure love watching you grow. and can't imagine life without you. thanks for joining our family. you fill our lives with overwhelming joy. we needed you.
